The Book of Ruth, Rescued by the Redeemer
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 PM starting March 7
What does the book of Ruth have to do with us today? Although Ruth is mentioned in the New Testament only in Matthew’s genealogy of Jesus, Christians have long seen in the book of Ruth a foreshadowing of our redemption through Christ. As Ruth and Naomi were destitute, with no status and no hope, so we are in spiritual poverty, unable to rescue ourselves. Like them, we are in need of a guardian-redeemer who would come to our aid.
For this 6-week study, we’ll come together each week to study the text and discuss it together. No homework or outside reading will be required. Held at FBC and facilitated by Tara Leiby.
