My name is Luke
Hatfield, and I am
the Pastor of Student Ministries at First Baptist Church in Medford
(FBC). As a part of my responsibilities at FBC, I have the
privilege of running the Cutting Edge Youth Center (CEYC. Check out our

I grew up in Cedar Grove, WI, a small town of 1500 about 40 miles north of Milwaukee where I graduated from high school in 1999. I went to college at Concordia University (CUW) in Mequon, WI, where I met my wife, Mikaela in 2000. We married in 2002, and after graduating from CUW in May 2003, Mikaela and I moved down to Dallas, TX where I attended Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS).
I graduated from DTS in May 2006 and that same month we moved here to Medford so I could start my first full-time position as Pastor of Student Ministries at FBC, and our son, Traeger, was born! Our daughter, Ataly arrived in March 2008.
In addition to being blessed with a wonderful family, I am also blessed to be doing what I love! I love students! I have always enjoyed working with kids of all ages, and I have a special passion to see Jr. and Sr. High students come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and to give their lives to Him. The reason I am so passionate about this is because it is the only way to have true life. That's not my opinion - that's what God says, and I believe it! I am definitely a work in progress, on the journey of knowing God better and becoming a more fully devoted follower of Christ, and I love being on that journey with others - students and adults alike.
